Ventrilo Server

Escapia now has a Ventrilo server. For the uninitiated, Ventrilo is a voice chat program.

Rules:
1) If a moderator tells you to stop doing something, STOP DOING IT. You are likely cutting into company profits.

2) Keep the profanity to a minimum when there are minors in the Vent. Otherwise, you'll have to contribute a varying and liable to change amount of money to the official CreepsUTrust VentsUTrust Swear Box.

3) Music is only to be broadcast in the "Music Hall" channel, or in private channels. Music not officially approved of by the CreepsUTrust Commission of Bad Taste, will be edited with auto-tune devices.

4) The "Other Gaming" channel is to be considered a low-priority channel. If the Vent server needs more room for Minecraft players, find another voice chat solution. Minecraft, after all, keeps the masses coming back for more. Soon we'll be having a monthly, weekly, then daily, subscription process implemented.

4b) If I see your WoW guild raid in here, I'm IP banning all 25 of you. Activision is one of the major rivals of CreepsUTrust PLC, and fraternisation with the enemy will not be tolerated.

5) Don't let Blackadder51 set the server on fire. No insurance package will be able to cover it.

Custom password-protected channels are available for a one time fee of one diamond. PM SachielOne on the Escapecraft forum with the channel name and password you want. All funds will go to the upkeep of the maintenance, research and firing of OGRED.

Bans on the main Escapecraft server WILL carry over to the Vent server.

Playing music through Ventrilo
The way I do it involves Winamp and another program called Virtual Audio Cable. The tutorial I used can be found here.

Note that the demo version of VAC will not work for this, as all anyone will hear is the words "TRIAL TRIAL TRIAL" over and over again.
