We should have a vote to see whether we get a 360 or PS3 server (just in case we cant afford both and the obvious PC Server)

i agree PC's are better. but consoles have advantages like lack of program interference and needing to be retuned a couple of times a year.

and anyway people prefer to just get something they can play games on out of the box instead of paying through the nose for the newest shiniest graphics.

That and consoles are hopefully soon going to have cloud technology (well xbox is at least)

that poor console... and poor MS if they do this. they create a system where only a small minority of people can play games as they have a fast an stable internet.

seriously Cloud Tech is quite a way away from large scale home use the closest we have is that Google OS that came out and i never heard any more about it... i dont see Microsoft trying that kind of thing anyway unless they charge massive fees for it (Xbox Live Cloud= $100 month :P ) so... yeah

back to the topic i think:
im getting this game over Skyrim and may sell Space Marine for it... (bloody Relic left a HUGE bug in the PS3 matchmaking so i have to wait over an hour to get into a multiplayer game... i am not amused)

I'd play it more on console, but I think the PC server would be much more populated than the console server (if there was one)...
What should I do? :S

/me compares those specs to mine

That's a whole lotta nope.avi. ._. I'm wondering why the hell Vista would be the minimum. XP is known to run things significantly better than Vista. .-. And it's much less derpy.

Even my new computer runs XP. Well, I suppose I'm going to be buying Windows 7 too, then.

I'm guessing its DirectX, since minimum is 10, and XP only does 9

Yeah, I hate Vista too. 7 is a "little" bit better. Not much, but workable. I still think they should have just stuck with XP and continuously upgraded it.

Not to nitpick but 7 surpasses XP in almost every discernible way. Get with the times and upgrade to 7 instead of using a 10 year old OS.

Also, Vista was not a bad OS, it was third-party vendors that were a majority of the problem. People blew the problems way out of proportion and many joined the bandwagon.

That and many stupid people bought Vista and ran it on hardware that wasn't up to spec with the minimum requirements. Also stupid vendors sold machines that were under spec as well.

Guess I'm just still used to the way things were organized on XP. I still have issues with using Vista though. I upgraded my mom's PC to 7 a couple months ago, and everything runs twice as fast as it did on Vista.

Windows ME is still the worst OS I've ever used though.

OT: Back to BF3. I hope my PC can handle BF3. I guess I'll just have to get the beta to see how well it will run. If it doesn't run, I'll get it for PS3 first then get it for PC after I upgrade it next year.

the main thing i would upgrade to 7 for is for the increased compatibility with dual core processors.

right now my laptop uses only 1 of 2 cores :( (bloody Dell laptop)

9:03pm - Installed Origin to get BF3

9:29pm - Un-Installed Origin, and never hope to see it again.

Honestly, not impressed what so ever. Might get it for the ps3 instead.

You don't have to install origin to buy it, I pre-ordered bf3 and star wars - the old republic weeks ago, just installed origin last night

its a stripped down copy of steam, but oh well, will need it to play bf3, I'm not going to try to play a fps on a console, controllers are just not built for that

I wouldn't mind Origin if they hadn't decided, as I mentioned, to tell me the download manager (which sucked) was now Origin without allowing me to agree to Origin's terms. And so I deleted everything.

That's pretty stupid. Idk, I still want to get it for PC. More people and vehicles to shoot at, and probably more skilled opponents. In BFBC2 on the PS3 everyone just goes lone wolf. Feel like I'm the only guy who tried to back up his teammates.

Also, I appear to be the only recon who isn't useless.

Sneaky, I see where you're coming from but I've had so many problems with Vista (one of my other computers runs it) that I want to punch a baby tiger. ;_;

Personally, I've never used Windows 7 but from what I've seen of it it's very cool and organized. The reason I'm still on XP is because it's been very reliable. The entire time I've had this computer I have bluescreened twice, both not at the fault of the OS but of my incorrectly-installed video card. I do want to upgrade, though.

I've looked into Origin and it's really not that different from Steam. However, everything made by EA is shit and therefore no one will pass up a chance to hate EA. That's what makes me say.. do not want.
