Well, I got my key. Now to see if I can get into a match before I go take an exam...

Nope.

I wonder if we're allowed to livestream it...
You probably are. It is an open beta after all.

I received my key, installed the game this morning, won't have time to play it until really late tonight. My boss hasn't received his email, he's getting pretty upset with EA right now, lol

Just got origin, oh god it is stupid. Didn't recognize my password, then wouldn't let me change it, then said my email didn't exist, then said that the key they sent me was wrong.

BF3 better be worth it.

Be careful making an account name on Origin because it will also be your soldier name.

I had to get in contact with EA Customer Service to change my soldier name once I discovered this.

Yeah, I figured that, so I chose Lieutenant_Bum, my regular one, Sir_Bum was taken. If you have an EA acc, can you use it with origins?

I believe so.

I honestly don't remember my sign up process.

Is this for PC only? :-(

It asks for an Origin Username and Pword, but I'm on Xbox...

Erm, how do you get an Origin Uname and password? Is it through Origin, or can you go to a website, I ask because I am not allowed to download Origin (by my parents) because of the shifty stuff surrounding the T+C, but still want to join the...

It's basically a clan.

I'm pretty sure you will need Origin to join up.

I have no idea if the console version will implement methods of joining them.

It's probably because they don't want any Australians playing their game.

Hmm, a 2,300% increase in BF3 preorders on Amazon, maybe because the Limited Edition was a fiver cheaper than the normal one?

I've been trying to get Origin to let me download the beta for the past hour and a half, and still no luck. I officially hate Origin.

Does it tell you anything else other than "You don't meet the requirements"?

It's possible it hasn't be released to all regions yet.

That's what it says. And I'm in California, so not being released yet probably isn't the issue. Also, my PC has all of the required specs, so I don't know why it's saying that.

Well then, I guess I won't be getting BF3. Battlefield on consoles isn't nearly as good anyways.

Hmmm.

My only suggestion is to uninstall Origin and reinstall. I was having some wonky issues earlier but doing that fixed it for me.

The only other thing I can think of is that the servers are being bombarded by requests and it's possible not all requests will get through and you may need to wait a bit.

The beta is lasting until October 10th, so you'll definitely have a chance to try it out.

It might be just my PC. I bought the thing in June though, and it cost me $800, so I don't know if that would be the issue.

I'll try reinstalling Origin, if that doesn't work then I give up.

I wouldn't give up, maybe try again in a couple of hours and if no luck, try Google and see if there are similar issues.

Still no luck. It's probably just my PC. Damn, and the thing is only a few months old too. Wasn't exactly cheap either.

What specs does your machine have?

My computer is over three years old (except the video card) and I have had no problems.
