Terraria will cost $9.99 from Steam.

HUGE congratulations are in order to the Terraria dev team for getting this out - you guys are achieving what so many dream of. You've created a great game and already have a huge following.

Seems like a pretty cool game. I'll be getting it.

Minecraft + Maple story = Terraria

At first glance, it does look a lot like Minecraft. But it's unique aspects shine later in game.

I really suggest giving the vid I linked a good look, and the rest of the videos in that playlist.

terraria > minecraft.
I was linked to a leaked version by a friend. It has no obvious bugs. The 2D makes exploring easier and fun. I have mined downwards for a long time and havent seen any stupid 'bedrock' limitations. No pigs pushing you off cliffs, already has more items(grappling hooks)/block types(demonite!?)/weapons(guns)/mobs(bosses) than minecraft, Working Multi (can get lagy though) and is overall more simple than minecraft. simple = less = more.
AND IT DOESNT FEEL LIKE YOU ARE ALWAYS GRINDING.

Well, once again I'm getting ripped of by Steam, 10€ converts to $14 … /me is not happy. This means no Terraria for me at this point.

There isn't :) But so far the server is limited to 8 players at a time and we haven't had trouble like that.

Also, think of multiplayer as a way to dungeoneer with friends, not *live* in per se.

You can transfer items from single player to multi or vice versa ^.^ So that's always a plus. I keep my booty in single player for the sake of keeping it safe from theft.
