ANNOUNCING! The Monumental Big Build!

The best entry will win Royalty Rank for a month , along with all the perks that that entails!

Tyrasengineer and the Events Team will be hosting a big build event, aiming to see landmarks and monuments from all over the world, from September 1st, 12:00 AM (server time, for timezone conversions, see below) to September 8th, 11:59 PM in the Event Arena!

To Sign Up: Leave a post in this thread detailing who will be on your team (maximum 2 players), and go to the event arena and grab yourself a plot. Only one plot per team or risk disqualification... or worse...

To get to the event arena: From the hub (/groupspawn) go down the red path to the creative area and head into the portal on your right.
More Details and Rules!

Build something that fits the theme.
The Event Arena will open September 1st, (see below for timezones) and closes on September 8th, for judging.
Build early!
Entries can be anything from anywhere in the world- the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, the Statue of Liberty...!
Judges will pick the best three entries, as well as "honorable mentions".
Claiming more than one plot will result in disqualification from the contest and possibly a suspension!
Teams: up to 2 players, or build alone - and players may join in anytime during "Build Week" after the event starts. The player who claims the plot needs to add the team-mates to it, instructions are in the signs.
Judges for this event are Tyrasengineer, M477h3w1012 and Rock Beefchest.

Notice: The Events Arena will be closed for judging at the end of the week, on September 8, 2012 - You have ONE WEEK to build your entry!

Build as high as you want. You can build monuments that no longer exist, might want to explain them though in case the judges don't recognise them The arena isn't open because it isn't the first of September yet <tehbeard> >check for tramps

Instructions said grab a plot...so I went to do so :/

Also, having trouble coming up with a landmark I can live with. I dont want it to be too famous, yet it has to live up to the standards of an architecture school graduate...also buildable :/

And how big are the plots, 50x50 if I remember right?

I have a perfect idea that would classify as a monument, I wanted to do it in the Master Builder, but the theme of the round didn't fit and my compensation idea didn't make it past the round.

Someone wants to team with me, that'd be cool, just tell me or something. I'll admit that i'm not the best with exterior designs, but I am very focused on stuff and if needed I can spend alot of time working on stuff.
