Good day everyone, I'm posting to announce that Terra, the world we've steadily built up from since its creation back in December 2010, will be retired on June 21st, 2012. This date is not negotiable so long as we have the resources needed.

First of all, let me reassure you that we are not deleting the world. Anyone who has built in Terra by the date will still be able to do so - we will be implementing a world-spanning cuboid preventing building (and more importantly griefing) in general, and anyone with a claim or a build in the world will be given a free cuboid. After Terra is retired players will not be able to claim new land for one of these free cuboids.

Why are we retiring Terra, you may ask? First of all, activity in Terra has steadily dwindled, and this retirement has been on our minds for a while now because of it. Secondly, we really want to put a focus on the new, encouraging a focus on worlds such as Borjan and other additions. Whilst it does hurt us to have to stow our longest-running world with the mothballs, we hope that everyone will curb negativity by participating in a rush for free cuboids.

"Interra" was released the same day "Terra" was closed?

It won't.

And will players be able to transfer builds in Terra to a newer world, like Borjan or Fyra?

You said no to general buildings but what if people have active cities in Terra? Can they use their cubeoid to move said city elsewhere or will people still need to pay for that? Ive been living in Terra since i joined over a year ago, its gonna be weird moving.

LONG LIVE TERRA!!

We don't move cities, not even for a price.

You can continue to live in Terra if you wish. Although I encourage you to consider the newer worlds.

The announcement image pleases me.
The actual announcement doesn't really please or displease me.
It seems right to put Terra to rest. It had a much longer run than Genesis or Exitus.
Now we must focus on the future!

Im certain i was told Solar City could be moved if i payed for the appropriate cubeoid (this was about a month ago).
If not ill just start a new city, ive kind of been looking for an excuse to do so anyway...

Just wanted to stop in and say that that's a beautiful Banner. It should be at the top of the website always and forever.

All in favor say aye.

Aye!

And point of clarification: if we have multiple builds, do we get that number of cuboids, or just the one?

Hey Mountbatten, question, I have 2 or 3 cuboids in Terra, I would be refunded all all of them yes? Just making sure.

No refunds, you can get new cuboids for your stuff that you build so that you still have access to them.

As the announcement said, people who have homes in Terra will still be allowed access to their homes and lands with free cuboids. This is simply a measure to encourage new users to build in the newer, more populated, worlds.

Just to confirm, I will still have access to my cuboid in terra and can finish projects there still? just no new cuboids or wilderness buildings? I ask this just as I have a large (150x150+) project in terra and I will not have time to prepare it for this deadline, due to being in australia and no pc or internet other than wireless stick on dads laptop.. anyway.. Will we still be able to build in our cuboids we had before, after its retired? Same goes with chest acess and stuff, still possible after?

If I have cuboided structures in Terra that I may want to move to another world, can I chose to move them at a later date post-retirement, or do I need to move them now?

Also, what are the size limitations on moving? I have a 128x80 area I am currently considering moving.

Rules change and BR was not an easy move for us anyway. moving Saphiri or Draconax would kill the server dead for hours and Corinth? Corinth would murder the hardware with a shovel.

When i asked to move a city was referring to Solar City, since its floating, the shape of it is rather square and its not that big of a town, i thought it would be an easy enough move. No one ever mentioned moving Saphiri or any other large city.

So what's the price for moving structures? As in individual structures?
