It feels a bit rugged at the moment (floating cobble roads everywhere and such), but I'm enjoying it overall.
Hopefully things will start to look more streamlined once people have enough surplus material to consider improving the general aesthetics. I might help out once I get a decent mine going.

It's a bit more hostile though, there seems to be more disputes as far as I can tell. Best to just ignore it I guess. ;)

Or follow my policy of burn whoever comes into your property uninvited... they were warned it's private.

I like my city,
I like it a lot,
I like my city,
BUT MORE PEOPLE NEED TO BUILD PLOTS

OT: I was hesitant at first, what with all the zombies and such, but then I warmed on it. Great server man!

I really like this new map. It isn't as....overfilled as the other map. There are tons of open areas to build things, and you don't have people just going about taking all the resources. There is the balance of living, and resource gathering. Fun times!

I wasn't aware that our houses were there for purely aesthetic purposes.

There is no other reason to build in a town other then protection and aesthetics, and there is hardly any protection at all in solake. And if you like being part of a community then wtf are you doing in a dirt house?

So why not just build your own house away from greifers?

Ok, at this point I have to jump in and ask... have you been inside of solake? There is one dirt house and one dirt tower... and the rest are made of various mats that are not dirt. (Mine being one of them, its a public house I drop bread off at from time to time and is NOT made of dirt)
Or have you even bothered to take a closer look?

Honestly, I loved how the city was made before the wipe and I can see this still being a good city, sure there is a few hiccups... but at the moment all I see is Jealous hate towards Solake.

We aren't jealous, infact we have a very aesthetically pleasing town, with walls for protection :D

I also have a house there, for the lols.
some houses there are nice, most are bland or just really ugly. Striving for beauty in minecraft Is always good, having a shelter and building a home are two different things. If you want to see creative houses, see D_Mc_Gs' house, or mariakittens(spelling?).

Cheers :P

But yeah on topic, the way the server works now is pretty good. There's a much greater sense of freedom then the last wipe and feels akin to the first wipe. There's being noticeably less griefing and despite with health damage being in effect I've still seen plenty of great inventive building.

So yeah all in all, great work people. 8-)

I love it.

Lot more room to build on.

Health and mobs make it a lot more interesting too.

I'm lovin it so far. The game feels way more interactive now that diplomacy is being established. The ruins at the start are great, but a bit annoying when you have to trek for several minutes to get back to the super high building you were working on.

The only thing I don't care all that much for is the geography. This new map seems to have an archipelago thing going on, whereas the previous two felt more continental. So, now we have people spreading out into all different areas from spawn, instead of the general tread of moving inland that we had before. Therefore, I end up feeling very alone, and separated from the rest of the community. Of course, this may be a good thing for others, based on how they want to play the game.

Of course, all of this is my opinion, based on how things feel to me. We might have more, larger landmasses on this map than we did on the others. My impressions might be factually incorrect. I don't know.

I really like the new map. I like to explore without worrying about hitting other people's tunnels. In the old map, I ran into other players a lot underground, even when I didn't intend to. With the broader map, I can create larger mine systems without worrying.

I'm liking it very much, there's a whole lot more space for building and mining, and a lot more unique and useful land to claim! For some reason I feel more creative in this map o: so basically, I'm a very happy Nathalie :3

I'm kinda torn about the map. I like the that there is a nice area thats unharmed by player's hads (spawn). But, everyting is so spaced out and seperated by water that I always feel alone. I only have one neighbor, and he's never on at the same time. In the old server I had a bunch of neighbors, and was always helping them out and protecting them.

I strongly dislike it if I'm honest. I wish all the best for everyone on the server; but I'm going to go on far less regularly.

Might I ask why? Purely for the sake of feedback.
