Texture Pack

It's old but gold. If it could help you out we've probably chucked it in here.

Texture Pack

Post by Sir_Luke » 05 Apr 2011, 18:13

I was going to make my own texture pack for Minecraft. I was thinking of making a realistic Medieval theme pack on a 64X64 size, but any ideas would be nice.
It needs to be about, 20% cooler.

Try a pack with the bow changed to a gun and the arrows changes to ammo.

Why should he do that when he's making a medieval-themed pack? That makes no sense.

For the love of god, don't make a Medeval or Simplified texture pack, make a modern one or futuristic one. There's like none of those.

Changing the bow to a gun would ruin the whole thing... I'm just trying to achieve a realistic, nice looking pack that makes you feel like a knight :D.

I'd recommend the Soartex texture pack. High-res and very nice. 'Tis painful without it, I tell thee.

I would definitely like to see Sir Luke's when he's done with it, but in the meantime, I'm using this rustic pack:
http://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_ ... stic-pack/

Its medievalish but I'm not too fond of the glass, sand, and grass. Or of how the grass maps over to the side of some of the dirt blocks, which makes it really hard to judge elevation. I also would like to see some tool updates. Other than that, its great.

I modded the pack with a new sun and moon though, to some better .pngs I found.

Note: you need the patch listed if you want to use this pack, but the thread it links you too is extremely easy to follow and I did it in under 1 minute.
