What's your favorite TEXTURE pack ?

It's old but gold. If it could help you out we've probably chucked it in here.

What's your favorite TEXTURE pack ?

Post by Zinrius » 28 Feb 2011, 19:44

Yes, as the title inquires you, What is your favorite Texture pack ?

Mine would have to be the Zelda OVERHAUL pack, even thought it's incomplete ( like old tree trunks, sandstone, cake, bones, etc they don't show, they only show as purple blocks ). I've never seen a more vivid and perfectly colorful pack such as this one and it's definitely worth a try. Whatever textures are missing are from rare seen blocks and items, so it's no big deal after you get over that; Everything else looks FANTASTIC.

Anyways, what's yours ?

I have a feeling there's already a thread like this somewhere...

Anyhoo, I've been using variations of Doku's RPG pack for a while now, and am currently sporting the GERODUKU Test(2) post-squid remix. I love it, everything just goes so well. :D

Seems the RPG pack is quite popular, looks great!

Milo, you use Tron ? You're crazy haha. Such a huge change of things, must be confusing.

But to each it's own! ( I'm tempted to try it though )

Why is texture in caps in the title?
Anyways, I enjoy Clean Lines, simply because it makes everything go well together.

Amazing! I love it!

Once I get back from work I'll download this one and give it a go!

I just love simple, soft and colorful. ( Thus why I use Zelda pack )

I tried paintlery as suggested by you for escapia4, it's not my personal favorite but I like the vivid colors of it. ( and the fact that it's complete )

I'll switch briefly to Paintlery when the new world comes by, so I can expirience it through it's creators eyes as suggested.

I use the Faithful 32x32 pack. It's just a 32x32 version of the defualt textures that looks really nice. The only thing I think could be better is the wool texture.

I use the coterie pack. Yes, i know its just a copy of quandary, but it updates more frequently than quandary. It basically does a touchup on the default texture pack making everything look ten times better without sacrificing the minecraft look. I especially like how armor, tools, and cobblestone looks on this texture pack.

Gloomtasy, I've used it since the day it came out. :3 I love it, it makes everything just a bit darker but doesn't derp up that old Minecraft feel. Originally, the tools didn't change (which I loved, I really like the default tools), but in the last update they did; however, they look even better now! :D Visibility through glass is improved, dirt actually looks attractive, and the wood is darker so it's so much sexier.

I've only ever used the Painterly Custom Pack. I know theres lots else out there but meh. Spend too much time playing to really care all too much. Besides I like the 16x16 simpler graphics.
