Re: Spiral Knights
We have about a half a dozen of us in a guild now. If you want an invite, message Sachielone in-game, or post here with the name of your Knight.

Spiral Knights
So, I tried out Spiral Knights, which is a Free-to-Play MMOG that was among the group of F2P games that just showed up on Steam. It plays a bit like a Legend of Zelda game, actually.
Has anyone else given this a shot? If I can get enough interest, I'm willing to set up an Escapecraft guild for us.

Huh. That's a shame. I was actually looking forward to seeing this one, as I have actually been to that castle. I was six or so at the time, but I remember it being pretty cool.

Re: Duke Nukem Forever: Is it worth buying?
So, I just finished it. Here are some final thoughts. First of all, the end boss was WAY too easy to kill. I should not have been able to do that on the first attempt. Second, the levels seemed pretty bland. I remember a lot of levels in Duke 3D being satirical in nature (Especially once you hit the...

Re: Duke Nukem Forever: Is it worth buying?
So, the biggest irritation by far that I have found is that there is absolutely no non-visual indication of when bosses are charging up any kind of super attack. There is one boss in particular that can wipe out half your health in one shot. If you happen to be dealing with his minions, which usuall...

Unfortunately, that's a standard to long single player game length these days.Cho wrote: 10 hours? That's truly pathetic for the price tag. Even if the gameplay was good, I wouldn't pay $50 for only a 10 hour campaign.

Duke Nukem Forever: Is it worth buying?
No, I'm not asking. I've bitten the bullet and bought it, and I figure I may as well advise you guys on it. The short answer is no... at least not at the current price point. The game plays like something from around 2006 or so, and doesn't warrant paying full price for something so outdated. Wait f...

There are, at the moment, four users whose identity can be guaranteed on the IRC channel: Lord_Mountbatten, mydrox, wokka, and SachielOne. We have enough trouble here with people not being able to get on during an upgrade, and we actually warn the user base in advance. Can you imagine the chaos of trying to revert without being able to provide a link to the old version?

This kind puzzle really only works when you have either a massive active user community (think Steam), or you have a bunch of hackers and math geeks handy. Without knowing where the divisions between the characters are, there is no way to solve this.

No, but having nearly every project on the Creative map blown to hell and back most certainly is.aflycon wrote:If this is about the narrow TNT crater I made relatively close to spawn (it has my name on it), I had plans for building in there. >_> But it's not "catastrophic".

I've seen the damage, as I logged out in creative before it was sealed. Suffice it to say that the term "catastrophic" doesn't even come close to covering it.

"gaming" and "laptop" really don't belong in the same sentence. Laptops are all about portability, functionality, and ease of use. To get the power needed for gaming usually means sacrificing battery life, heat efficiency (good luck having one on your lap once it heats up), portability (gaming lapt...
